– “I’ve decided I should be on the pardon list, if that is still in the works”, casually wrote Trump lawyer John Eastman in an email to Rudy Giuliani a day after the insurrection, as any man with a clear conscience would do. After heeding (free) advice to get a good effin’ criminal defense attorney, Eastman pled the 5th 100 times to questions from the J6C, as all innocent people do.

– “I don’t want to be your friend anymore if you don’t do this,” Trump reportedly said to Mike Pence while trying to get him to steal a free and fair election, highlighting the true stakes of a peaceful transition of power.
